Caroline van der Leeuw, better known as Caro Emerald debuted at July 6th of 2009 with her famous single Back It Up. The song was awarded the status of “Most played single” on the Dutch radio station 3FM in 2009. After this first hit single her success was rising sky-high. On February 8th of this year it was announced her debut album has reached a 5-time platinum status!
