| Description: |

They might've been the Family Stone, but the focus was never far from front man Sly, shown here in March 1969 in his Afro and side-burns, letting the world know there's a riot goin' on. Sly had worked as a radio DJ on an Oakland AM radio station and was instrumental in flooding the Bay Area airwaves with the sounds of K-SOUL.
