In 1970, the year after Miles Davis launched the jazz-fusion revolution with his iconoclastic "Bitches Brew," photographer Sandy Speiser grabbed this in-concert shot of Davis blowing his heart out. Speiser had a lot of experience with Miles on-stage, having shot the album art for "Black Beauty: Miles Davis at Fillmore West," "Miles Davis Live at the Fillmore East," "Dark Magus" and "Bitches Brew," among others.
