Johnny Cash Looking Sideways Playing his Guitar, 1959
Description:
This shot of Johnny Cash at the Columbia Records studio in October 1959 gives us a glimpse of the inner workings of the man in black, doing his job away from the limelight of an audience. There's a ball-point pen clipped to his breast-pocket and he seems to be listening to someone off-camera - perhaps producer Don Law - as Cash finger-picks a D chord on his guitar.
