Gwen Verdon in "Damn Yankees," 1955 - Fine Art Print
Description:
Sensuous dynamo Gwen Verdon was considered one of the hottest dancers on Broadway in 1955, when the flaming redhead was indelibly cast as Lola, an entrancing devil's disciple in the Faustian musical comedy "Damn Yankees." "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets," sang Verdon, who won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical before going to Hollywood to reprise her starring role in the 1958 film version.
